Hi guys; i'm looking at my next build but i'm stuck at the very first step, as i can't find a case i like (you know .. the spark of inspiration).

There happens to be a glorious (yet it seems also pretty much pointless, as i haven't figured out yet why its been kept up, since it doesnt really sell anything.. well.. wallpapers.. but who's gonna buy them) website called http://www.million-dollar-pc.com/ and they .. well, they'v got images of awesome PC cases from modders n'stuff.

Unfortunately there's one case .. so beautiful .. that is listed as "some server case i picked out of the rubbish" by its owner; here it is:
switzerland-01.jpg

I know from reading the website that it got a paint job, so it was possibly another colour altogether originally; i love this case, it's so beautiful and i want it if it kills me *cry*

Please, if anyone know the name, or brand. It might be a discontinued model but yet it might be possible to find it somewhere.

link to the rest of the images: http://www.million-dollar-pc.com/systems-2009/special/lessdegrees/pius-giger.htm

link to the worklog (in german .. ) : http://www.hardwareluxx.de/community/f143/es-595227.html

Lifelong reverence and massive kudos to anyone who can help

It looks like a modded Lian Li, or a SilverStone, or a 800D.

Its most definitely moded tho... ur not going to get anything close to that off the shelf without working on it.

Im leaning more to the silverstone TJ series... possibly the TJ-07 from the way the fan layouts are, also the fact that its from nil's million dollar PC.

Im gonna assume that's nil's custom job on a face plate he does for the TJ-07.

It is not just paint-job. (A spraycan one.) It's heavily modded. At least the front plate has been added. That much does google translate guess from the worklog.

It must have been a full tower case to begin with and does resemble in some ways both Lian Li and Silverstone.

well if it was a LL i believe the board would be inverted..

Which is why i am leaning more on the TJ-07/

looks to me like the height-width ratio is higher here than on a TJ7 :/ also, distance from the window to the mesh is longer here, so if this is a mod, it's closer to a rebuild. i suspect it's some server case from the 90's, and was hoping to run into some office boy who would have recollection . anyway, tnx for the time.

Also, still can't find a case i like.

I think it's base is the Silverstone TJ07 and they modded it to look like the Lian Li x500fx/x2000f on the front.

I'm more leaning towards a LL modded case instead of the TJ-07, one of which I have sitting right next to me.

Why I don't think it's a TJ-07......side panels are square edged at the front while mine are rounded. The case itself is not created from separate pieces (top, front, bottom) but instead one piece bent to shape, the touted unibody creation Silverstone touts with the TJ-07, which results in no seams between the top, front and bottom "panels", because it's all one piece of aluminum. That case the OP pictured is using separate pieces for the top, front, and bottom.

Might be based on Lian LI V1110A, anyway XOXIDE shows 260 cases to look over, the Bitfenix Shinobi in white looks tempting, lol.

I'm no expert in case sleuthing, but it just looks like a simple desktop case from the early 90's to me. Heavily modded beyond recognition.

guys it cant be a LL because the cpu is not on the floor.

LL V series cases are inverted remember?
That was one of the features which made it stand out.
lian-li-pc-v2000-plus-2-5.jpg

^ u see CPU is on the floor and not roof.

The TJ-07 requires a mod to invert...

Its a TJ-07 that was heavily moded.

And its coming from nil's million dollar PC, so i am going more with a TJ-07.

You know what i'll ask nil's directly.. and find out for you guys.

:)

from his post:
When I went to work one morning there was a pallet with PC cases before the door, which should for disposal.

and from the thread..

"A new housing was needed, but I did not spend 300 € for a TJ7. Although the Silverstone is the breakdown of her exactly what I wanted."

So its not a real TJ-07... but a TJ-07 replica?

But if u read the case, they say its a Hammer series... from LL.. a very old pc case, but if u look at how it looks, the guy must of majorly moded the hammer.

BAH i ask nils.. :D

Ya TJ-07 It does however have that Lian Li look inside. No matter what its a nice looking case. I sold about 20 of the lian li with water set up
