What happened to it and why did Wilson leave?

Used to be cool site that I checked out several times a day.

Now it's painful to look at.
 
Something about him falling off the wagon and getting addicted to pain killers or some damn thing. I agree, the staff now for the most part just blows. I hate IGN even more now.... even though I understand they did it to survive.
