Okay, my mobo, gigabyte 965p-ds3 seems to think that the e6320's stock voltage is 1.35 volts. Other sites say it's lower at 1.2 ish others say 1.3, i can't seem to find a definite specifications list for some reason. Anyone know the stock voltage for sure?

well it says 1.35 and that seems a bit high considering JustaGeek and tofumonster's cores!

1.35V is the maximum allowed/rated voltage.

With no overclock at all, my 775Dual-VSTA, as well as P5N-E SLI, would set it around 1.3V on Auto.

well, my cpu default vcore is 1.35 and vid in coretemp never alters from 1.35. I have an e6600 in another computer that shows 1.325 VID, don't know why it would be 1.35 for an e6320 unless it is a mobo issue.

VID is the stock VCore intel sets at the factory.

This can vary pretty much between different CPUs, even if they're the same model.

My E6850 has a VID of 1.315 or something similar. (Not currently near the system) But other E6850 might very well have different VIDs, Anything between 1.3-1.35 is not unheard of. Some of them might even be under 1.3V.

As said, it varies. For example, the stock voltage of my E6600 is 1.2750V.

My recommendation to you is to just put the CPU voltage at 1.25V if you aren't overclocking. It will work fine and also lower the heat output a bit.
