kind of a continuation of this thread.

do you have to be on the account with your parents or can it be another person over 18?

sorry, im bored at school and need answers 😛

It also depends upon the state and the bank. Some banks will allow you to have a teen checking account/student account. Some will require an adult co-signer or guardian. The best thing you can do is go to your local banks tomorrow and ask or call their CS number tomorrow and ask. It will vary by your state regulations and the actual bank. Good luck.

thanks. i know that you cant get an account until youre 18 by yourself. i have a couple with my mom.. but im not sure if it HAS to be my mom or dad, or if it can be anyone over 18. thank you again 🙂

If I recall correctly, it can be with anyone over 18; the bank doesn't care who the co-signer is as long as they have someone to nail if you screw up.😉
