Hi again, i know some of you have seen my threads before but im not seeming to be getting any replies ive been trying to change my bios settings manually to run my machine on a saved profile of 4.6ghz for gaming and converting video to high definition. when i got my bundle it came from overclockers.com with a saved profile for 4.6ghz. I,ve since had to do a cmos reset and lost that profile and put up a few threads asking for help with the bios settings for my asus P8Z68V-PRO MB. I,ve tried ringing overclockers.com and their forum but no luck. I am very keen to learn all aspects of overclocking computers and love to benchmark and see what my system can do. I know alot of people have told me my system is very nice as it is at stock speeds but i want to aim higher and make the most of my machine when benchmarking. so if anyone has any experience with the components in my signature please help me out if you can.

thanks for looking.

Btw my temps now @4.4ghz 1.310v is 29.c idol 70-72.c load with prime 95

Well we aren't going to know. Plus posting a bunch of new threads aren't going to help your case. Also when you over clock ymmv so you're gonna have to bump the multiplyer little by little to see how far that's going to get you

Each chip is different so just keep adding voltage until you find it stable with decent temps and are you using the stock heat sink?

Try 46x and 1.365 volts and try to keep the volts under 1.4 just dont get to greedy since thease chips will clock up past 5ghz with over 1.5 volts.

No i,m using the corsair A70 push/pull with 2 sythe 120mm fans im not trying to get any more than 4.6ghz im just trying to get the bios stable at that and try to keep the heat down i know before i reset cmos i never went above 61.c under full load with most of the bios settings set manual now its hitting 72.c @4.4ghz. I have 5 120mm case fans 2 intakes and 3 exhausts so its pretty cool inside. with this new bios with so many settings i am lost as where to start with so many settings to change

My 2500K requires 1.37v under all 4 loaded cores (P95 - 4 threads) at 4.6Ghz. It seems you are probably in the same ball bark. I am using an ASRock Extreme 4. It is a middle of the road 8 phase design.

I actually havn't put mine under more stress than 1 hour of prime 95 yet. But I am guessing I'll need to bring up the voltage one more notch since 1.36v failed after 37 minutes. I'd feel confortable saying my chip will likely need 1.38v to be 'rock stable'.
