Does anyone know what it would cost to get a rental car that I would drive around in Dallas, on Friday for work, drive to College Station (160 miles one-way) that night and drive back to Dallas in the morning to catch my plane.

How much would that cost? Does the driving affect that?

I would bet that hertz.com or avis.com might be able to help.
I tried them, but they didn't help.

Call them on the telephone.
BOOO!!! I was hoping that someone here worked at a rental place at one point and time and could just answer it for me.

If you can find a plan that offers unlimited milage, just pick the car up from the airport and return it there to catch your flight.

It would depend on where you wanted to pick it up, where you would want to drop it off, when you needed it (what time will you pick it up/drop it off.)

If you are under 25, good luck. If not, Hertz will give you unlimited miles.

Two seconds on hertz.com showed me that it is about 50 bucks a day to pick up/drop off at dfw. (plus a ton of taxes/airport fees.)

I just did an Alamo with unlimited mileage. It cost me only $50 for 24 hours and that was with the collision insurance (which was half the cost! I didn't realize I even had it until I returned the car.... READ WHAT YOU SIGN! :) )

Yeah, but if I drive 360 miles, I WANT collision insurance.

Most places don't count for mileage unless you travel out of state or you pick one that counts mileage.

But like others said - if you're under 25, you'll be raped out the arse on the under 25 fee, and then the insurance, etc.
