Does anyone know some open newsgroup servers?

my goddamn ISP's newsgroup server doesn't have a certain newsgroup, so I was wondering if there are some open newsgroup servers out there? the NG I need is alt.2600.warez.

and NOBODY f'n start talking about this newsgroup and its content, I don't want this thread closed. thank you.

Just use a web based one like www.deja.com.

You could subscribe to a pay news service...maybe 6 bucks a month.

Try doing a websearch on "public nntp"... there are lots of pages that keep updated lists of open news servers.

95% of those free nntp servers really suck. thank god for MSU free computer services.

A lot of those free servers are crap, yes, but they are, after all, free. You have to pick through to find the decent ones. I'm glad you like your MSU news server, but don't call it free, because your access was paid for by whoever cut the checks for your tuition bills.
