Does anyone know of benchmarks for sustained performance of the Sony Xperia xz?

I mean the test where they do a few dozen benchmark runs in succession without pausing to see how much thermal throttling affects performance.

I've heard Sony phones fare better than others when it comes to thermal dissipation. That could just be a fake rumor though.

I can't find anything about the Xperia xz. All the reviews are of the reviewer describing his "feelings" about the phone.

It is using the SD 820, just look for tests done on other devices with this SOC that are not OnePlus because they "cheat" on benchmarks.

How much a phone throttles and dissipates heat depends on the design of the phone, the type of material used (metal vs glass), heat pipes, graphite sheet, kernel, optimization, etc.. not just what chip it uses.

Edit: Holy shit it's true. I saw the xda article, Onplus 3 and 3T cheat on benchmarks by disabling thermal throttling. Lol and to think everyone was lauding them for so long for having "excellent sustained performance". It's like not a single reviewer bothered to run a game, they all just used benchmarks.
Thank god I didn't buy this piece of chinese shit.

And considering that the Beast Mode from Samsung is comming for Nougat and that seems that leads to cheat too... time to discard them along OP.

Lenovo ZUK Z2 has overclock mode, so discard it too.

So, is better to compare to HTC or to Leeco phones. LG is not so good implemented and Sony is the reference.

I think that there's difference between a phone disabling thermal throttling just for benchmarks unknown to the user and a mode that is user toggleable and works for everything.

Err... There is not that difference technically speaking. Those game modes/overclock are not supposed to apply to everything, but games and maybe benchmarks.
And that is already dangerous for users who doesn't know how to use it.
