A 120w ps from an emachine will run a via ITX board, got the case and m/b from my brother when I upgraded him, Its an ATX case. Thought it might make a good HTPC. If I went with an athlon then I would have to upgrade the ps for sure.

And when did gateway switch to atx cases, My dad hase his old p5-133, thought about putting a itx board in that from my mom.

Thanks todd

Ummm, you won't know until you try it. Emachines have crappy power supplies to begin with. Most of the gateway cases I've seen that are larger have been ATX.

Back in the days of P-133s, everybody used AT cases because there were no ATX cases yet. I have an old Gateway case that originally had a P-166 in it that is ATX style.

I know this was about the time everybody was making the switch, and it was fairly high end at the time.
