Is it possible?

I'm not sure what model number it is, but I know it's socketed.

Would the chip fit perfectly, or would it not even recognize the chip?
 
if both of them is s370, then it'll fit. question is whether bios will take it. just try it. no harm..
 
it will fit physically, but the motherboard might not support that high of a speed. check your hp manual or go to hp's website to find out any info abou it.
