Does anyone know if iPods can fit in the iPad dock?

Which iPad dock? As far as I know, the iPods and iPads use the same USB port.

The charger for the ipad is bigger. I suppose if you use the proper wall wart the dock itself won't matter. Not exactly sure though without being able to try it.

If its the newer classic it will fit. I have the older 160gb classic and it doesnt fit on iphone/ipad docs cause its a little fatter than the latest classics.

As far as the higher power charger/wall-wart for the iPad, it's backwards compatible with iPods and iPhones. I think my iPhone even charges a little faster with it.

About six months ago, a proposal was floated to request all Apple stuff move to All Things Apple and the decision was made by the moderating community at Anandtech to keep things as they are. If you have a question about an Apple mobile gadget, you can ask it in MD&G. Either forum is ok.
