Does anyone know if going back to old System Restore point will affect iTunes?

I asked this on an iPod forum and got no response, but maybe someone here will know. I spent several hours this past week customizing ratings and tags in my iTunes library. Now I have a piece of software, which I installed shortly before the iTunes changes, which gives an error when I try to uninstall it (some file needed for uninstall is missing so it errs out). I could just delete the directory and search the registry, but I'd prefer a "cleaner" unistall.

I have System Restore save point that I created before I installed the problem software. I'd like to go back to it, but I'm not sure what all is saved and what isn't when creating a restore point. Does anyone know if iTunes info will be affected? I've read that I can export the iTunes info and restore it, but I'd rather not (and take the chance of that not workig) if I don't have to.

iTunes should be fine, user data isn't restored back (but the iTunes app itself could be). Also, you can always restore forward to 'now' if it doesnt work.

The SysRestore mainly backs up registry items unless you have told it to back up anything else.

I think that progs settings if written to file would be fine, but if they are written to registry - that might cause a problem with you.

Thats actually very wrong, all code paths are generally covered by system restore (e.g. you role back and something you just added to Program Files wont be there anymore) while most user data locations are NOT rolled back...

I just looked it up - should've done it before posting.

Cheers for the heads up.
