I've never been there and would like to know ahead of time Any fishing tips for that particular lake would be greatly appreciated as well!

As rgwalt said, in order to maintain healthy populations of local fish species, seasons and limits must be established. These must be enforced by someone (Wildlife & Fisheries or similar entity). These entities must have these regulations and documentation (licenses) and money (license fees) to operate.
