I figured out I will parrallel wire my DVC brahma at 1 ohm for the whole speaker. I really want to go all alpine (ai-net, ipod adapter, amp controller etc). Does anyone know if their v12 amps are stable at one ohm? It's not specifacly mentioned but I have a feeling they are.

Wonder if adding a heatsink might work... I want to run the 1001 at 1 ohm . I hope it works. If not then I will have to try to return it or ebay it.

I really doubt it. You could hook it up and try but it will probably heat up quick and sound like crap. I wouyld not expect the amp to have a long life in that configuration.

I would have to agree.

Why not just get another kind of amp? I mean you arent going all alpine wiht that Brahma. Dont get a kick ass sub like that and not power it properly.

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_1811.html - I got this beast a while ago and ran it at 1 ohm stable and didnt get too hot for a while before reducing my system down to two subs instead of 4 :) but yeah 1 ohm @ 1500RMS (mine was more like 1600 with the gain tuned right) and maxed out at around 1800-1900
