Does anyone know how to reproduce the N with Caron

Click Copy in character map.
Go into your DOS window, click the command box in the top-left corner, Edit--Paste

On Win2K the character that pastes in looks like a capital N but DOS doesn't recognize it as an N. So this may work.

Edit: The N with the tilde over it displays that way in DOS. So I'm thinking DOS can deal with other characters but just doesn't display them right.

Bump! I need to delete this sucker! Anyone know how to reproduce that funny "N" in DOS???!

TIA~!

You could just use a wild character like a "?" to replace the character than you cannot type. Or a "*" (star = shift+8) to use as a wild character for the rest of the word (but will also include anything that matches what you've typed in before the * and do that as well.
