I dunno. Seems like a grey area. This thread has had a positive effect for me though. I now know at least one lock to never ever buy.

I hate combination locks. I prefer keys... though of course it does suck if you lose the key. But that's what lock/bolt cutters are for 🙂

There's a trick where you fold up an aluminum can into a V and slide it down to bump the latch..

Cordless Dremel with fiberglass reinforced cutoff wheel will cut any lock. Buy one. Then you have a handy tool for other stuff like cutting brake cables.

OP, if you do want to pick the lock, here is my suggestion:

you need to level up your lockpicking skill to at least 70 or maybe 80. Don't worry about the perks, but maybe take 30% easier lockpicking potion or some enchanted lockpicking gloves and boots. You may break a few lockpicks, so be sure to carry at least 20 or so with you.

It is a Master lock, after all.

Used to be a different company (bought out by Master Lock in 2003) so the locks were different. Now, maybe just a re-brand.
