hi everyone,

I was wondering if someone could give me a quick rundown on how to install a network card in a Win3.x machine. I don't remember much from my 486 days, since I was just a wee lass when I had win3.x on my machine. Any advice on how to install the card and configure the settings would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It would be helpful if you stated which NIC card you're trying to install into which computer.

Many NIC manufacturers include a setup program with their Windows 3.x drivers. But you'll have to know what IRQ and memory range the NIC is using. For that, there's usually a DOS setup program that will tell you.
