Does anyone know how to get memtest 7.4 to run on non-UEFI systems?

If you attempt to boot from a memtest CD in a non-UEFI system, you only get the option to run memtest 4.3. If UEFI is available, 7.4 runs. Considering I've seen DDR3 generation systems, some with UEFI and some without, I'm wondering what possible reasoning there is for this.

Version history says that 4.3 was the last before they completely rewrote it for UEFI,so my guess is that that's the only reason.
