I'm assuming just layer in the shaker like you layer in a shot glass. Probably pineapple juice, midori, and maybe cranberry?

Please explain how you would layer pineapple juice, midori and cranberry in a shaker without it mixing, then also pouring it without it mixing. It's obviously not that simple.

You can get the yellow -> red fade fairly easily with orange juice and Grenadine Syrup. Not sure how he did the blue and green beginning though.

My guess would be that he used something like curacao liquor on top. That would provide the blue color on top, and mixing it partly with the yellow orange juice would result in the green color in the middle.

So basically he'd need to start out by mixing the orange juice and grenadine, give it time to settle a bit to get the color gradient, then add a layer of curacao on top without mixing (the alcohol content should make it lighter).

If anyones ever tried to make a B52 it's basically the same idea, only the act of pouring it from the shaker would mix the layers a bit and result in a rainbow effect.

Probably took a hell of a lot of tries to get it just right.

I'm guessing ice in the shaker, then Malibu/Vodka/Triple sec. Let it sit a bit, Grenadine. OJ, Sweet + Sour. Curacao on top. I think the hard part is pouring each layer in, just gotta pour on a tilt and pour down the side of the shaker. I'm not sure I could do it, but that might work. Now I want to try.

Take a shaker tin and fill it 3/4 with ice. Add Malibu, Vodka, and Triple Sec first. Tilt the tin and add Grenadine. Then add OJ and Sweet and Sour. Finally topping it off with Blue Curacao. Do not shake. Watch the colors layer as you pour. Use 6 Rocks glasses with 2 ounces each. Meant for 2 people. Have fun!
