Does anyone know how to cut through padlocks ?

Im talking about this lock. http://www.padlocks4less.com/disc-padlock.html

My storage unit has one of these lock's on it, but I lost the keys to it. Bolt cutters wont work because i cant get the metal bar in the teeth. How do you get this lock to release ? I'd rather not pay $70-100 for a locksmith. If I take a drill and cut through the keyhole with a drillbit will that work ?

ive cut those off our trailers with a friction cutter. they arent bullet proof, just a bit harder to deal with. not sure if the drill would work tho, never tried it.

Yeah, I had to cut through a regular padlock with a Dremel after someone lost the key, and it worked fine, it just took a while.

I've used my ~$15 imitation dremel tool to go through a master lock and a bike lock. Less than a 5 minute job in both cases.

It would have taken less time, but doing it in the dark with gloves and ski mask slowed you down?

Actually it was setting up the extension cords that took the longest time.

My gf lost her bike lock key, so I brought my $15 imitation dremmel tool over and cut through the lock in less than a minute. During that time apparently this was reported to the security guard guy and he stopped up to ask what we were doing just after packing up all the extension cords and such

I'm kind of glad I got my haircut recently since according to my mom, I looked like a terrorist before :laugh:

So yeah, we could get together at my dumpy apartment. I have no alcohol in the place since I don't drink, but if you guys require some alcohol there's a virtually unlimited supply downstairs at the bar
