Hi everyone,

My friend and I just purchase a VCD, unfortunately there is only one left and the producer won't publish this title anymore in the future. I have tried to use WINONCD 3.7, EASY CD CREATOR DELUXE 4.0 to make a copy of it, in vain. It seems to burn the disk alright; however, when I insert the disc in my home DVD player (the original plays perfectly) it displays as CD and not VCD. Does anyone have an idea what I am missing and what do I need in order to make a copy of a VCD?

Anyhelp is greatly appreciated.

MY SYSTEM:
DUAL PII 266, TYAN S1692DL, 128 MB PC66 SDRAM, 10GB 5400RPM WD, 9GB 7200RPM IBM DESKTAR, GENERIC NIC CARD, #9 REVOLUTION 3D, 24X MITSUMI CD-R, 4X2X16X MITSUMI CD-RW, WIN ME & WIN2K PRO.

it might just be that your dvd player is unable to play vcds on cd-rs. My toshiba can play burnt cds w/ audio on it but craps out when trying to play vcd cd-rs. Try burning it on a CD-RW. DVD players have much better luck playing on CD-RWs

First make sure your home DVD player support CD-R/CD-RW Disc.
Use CloneCd to make a perfect copy of VCD.
