Does anyone know how the Ahanix cases read the cpu temp?

I have a friend that purchased the Ahanix Romeo Blue case with the cpu temp gauge on the front of the case. He's saying that the readout isn't working and I don't know what to tell him because I have no idea how the readout gets the cpu temp. He doesn't see any kind of connector for the case. How does it get the temps?

TIA,

Sal

If there is no wire, then its got to be just local. I remember having lcd temp displays as were attached to the 5.25 bay covers a few years back. There was a mod to take the temp sensor of the little internal pcb and add some wires to place it somewhere more important.
