I've always been happy with home-theater-in-a-box setups. The reason is I dont need THAT much to be happy. I just need loud quality sound...
Anyways,I like this setup because it does not include the dvd player, since I already have a good upconversion dvd player so a full theater-in-a-box seems a waste.
Anyways, this onkyo has 5.1 speakers and a receiver. My wish is to use the receiver and the 5 speakers but hook up my own powered sub...
I notice the outputs have normal wire outs for the stock speakers and rca outs (i believe) for different speakers... Can I use the normal wire outs for the 5 speakers and the sub rca out for an aftermarket sub?
Because Im getting the notion that you can only use one set of outs - The wired ones, or the RCA ones, and that you can't mix and match.
If anyone knows about this receiver/speaker setup then any help will be appreciated.
