Does anyone know anything about the BMW 850i?

I saw an 850i in the parking lot of the grocery store and had to take a closer look at it. The overall shape of it makes it look like an older Ford Probe, which is pretty different from BMW's other more "boxy" looking cars.

Anyone have any information about this car? I think I may have seen one in my old neighborhood, but never had a chance to take a closer look at it.

they were killed off because teh V12 engine in them were highly ineffeient and couldnt keep up with emmisions.. also sales were bad.. but its a sweet car.

I wonder if the new 6 series is gonna be as pimp as the 8 Series was. There just isn't a market for big V12 engines anymore...even Mercedes is putting out fewer S600/CL600/SL600 cars. It'll be interesting to see if they build an M6 with the same V10 they're building for the M5...

Beautiful cars, but avoid the 850 like the plague. Get the 840 instead.
