Does anyone know anything about seperating/divorcing your mother or parent?

As in, having it legally done? My mother is pushing me over the edge to a would be suicide. I searched google but haven't seen anything on this. It only picked up "seperating motherboards" or something to that nature.

I don't have much money as used to from my last job. So I took a different job thinking it would help my depression. But it didn't and this job isn't exactly paying me Bill Gates type of checks. So I Make very little for what I do. Considering my job is on a pay freeze and has been since 9/11/01. I Have to make due with this job as is because there aren't many jobs left here. I would move out, but the appartments here are moving up in cost big time. A studio appartment is around 900$ and up. The minimum is in the worst areas. A 1 bedroom is about 200$ more. I can't afford these things. I can understand my mother wants me to pay more for rent and living expenses, but she is really pushing me over. I work 5 days a week doing 8 and 10 hour shifts depending on the schedule and the weekends are off. She pushed me over today asking me why didn't I goto work today? I told her we don't work weekends unless it is necessary. She told me to go get another Job. As if the Economy is in full swing or else I have to get out of her house.

My other brothers don't work and haven't in 3 or more years. But she feels it's ok for them to sit around unemployed and mooch off of her. Meanwhile I have to work 1 or more jobs and still pay her and still pay my bills. She complained that computer is using up too much electricity everyday. I'm @ work for 8 or more hours and she's blaming me. She is complaing that my work clothes are filthy and stink, but I can't wash my clothes in her machine unless I pay her. I can't take a shower after work unless I pay for the water. Or if I flush the toilet, that cost her money so I have to pay her to use the bathroom.

She wants me to pay for groceries as well. No problem with that. But I'm pretty malnutrious So i wonder why I should pay for something I'm not eating or utilizing. I can't even afford to pay for my Anti depressents which are 400$ or more for a prescription.

I don't have a HS diploma so I'm limited on employment oppertunites.
 
How much money do you make? You're 23 it's time to either put up with it or move out. You're not 15, so it's not as if you absolutely can't do without your mother. Get another job and get a dingy apartment for a while. Then in your free time get your HS diploma and try to move up in career opportunities.
 
Move the hell out. If it's too expensive in your area then mopve to a different area. What kinda bullsh!t is divorcing oyur mom at 23? You're an adult, you can leave on your own. What do you expect a "divorce" to do? You're 23 and can't afford a 1 bedroom apartment, have no high school diploma, and are spending $400/mo on anti depressants. It sounds liek you're the one with the problems, not your mom.

Sounds like your mom just wants you out of the house, and at 23 it's hard to blame her.

Have you thought about taking night classes and weekend classes to get your HS diploma, get yourself a better job, and get the hell away from her?
 
I was going to say get another job but I see your mother already suggested that.
When I got out of the Army I worked 2 jobs. 1 was 8 hours a day/ 5 days a week. The other was 4-8 housrs a day/7 days a week, if available. I was taking 6 unit at the local college in the evenings so I couldn't work Tue and Thur nights.
You do what you gotta do.
 
I failed my GED test by 20 points off recently and it only sends me back into depression. I have to take it again 2 weeks. Finding an appartment and keeping this job in the same radius isn't going to happen. How much do I make? Put it like this, People @ Burger king make more than I do now. So in order to get finnical help with an room or such. The waiting list is like 4 years. I don't see myself being around then.

Here is what you do.

1) Get GED (study hard for it!)
2) Join the military
3) Bye mom!

If I was in your predicament I would choose a military life right away.

 
I'm with Skoorb. Not only will the military get you out of your depression but it'll give you a fresh start when you are done and have confidence oozing out of every oriface.

I'm not spending 400 on my AD's anymore. FYI, that's absurd price to pay for something I had no idea was going to work or not. It wasn't my idea. Blame CVS for the pricing. I had to save up to get that. My doctor already stop me from taking them until further notice as he is searching for a way to get them for free. You say move? Do you even realize how much it cost to live up here? 1200$ a month for an appartment? It's easier said than done. Maybe where you live it is cheap, but up here it's extremely high and it's only getting higher by the month. Shelters? I don't think so. Most of them are already overcrowed because most people don't have a place to live.
 
Another vote for the military. You'll either be molded into a useful citizen or die in the process. Either way, you win.

Come to Phoenix. You can get a nice studio in a good part of town for $450 a month. And as long as you speak English you can get a job.
 
The military does not look highly upon those with prior(much less current) mental problems. I don't know exactly how they deal with depression, though.
