Does anyone know about problems with Nvidia's FX5200 ?

I just bought a retail Chaintech 128MB GeForce4 FX 5200 card and it is not very impressive. When I run Unreal tournament in Xp I only get about 50fps and when I run UT in ME I can't play it full screen. I also had trouble playing many other games. Is it just me or does this card suck? If anyone has any advice please let me know. I appreciate it.
 
doesn't even sound like an ultra version... it's slower than the MX440 from years back!

I suppose the only solution is to turn the eye-candy down, down the resolutions, and make sure FSAA and AF are completely off.

No - it's not just you - the card really does suck. The only card in the FX line that can give you decent performance is the 5900 Ultra and even then it's no match for ATi's high-end cards.
