Does anyone know about Bang & Olufsen ?

I heard this company is from Denmark, and they are ridiculously expensive for a electronics brand. Can someone provide me with feedback about thie brand or some brand that can compete with it?

They make high-end stuff. I remember drooling over their stuff while HT shopping a few years ago at Tweeter. They've been around for a long time and are highly regarded.

ok, maybe not THE sh!t . . . but certainally worth A sh!t

the old town pasadena store is not far from here (its next to a nice italian restaurant that my family likes to go to, so while we are waiting, we peek in the B&o store)

they have a tv that hides behind a mirror . . . when its off, it gives off a reflection like a mirror . . . when it turns on, the TV shows the picture so clearly . . .

but the system is about $20,000-25,000

I lived in denmark, those stores are everywhere. They have a cd player you can operate with hand signals. Nuff Said.

they make some nice stuff...but generally most people I know think you can do better for less money. I'd agree.

yeah I know some people who have that stuff. THey have pretty home phones too, they cost $250 or so a pop though.

they're best idea so far, is their speakers that have matched amplifiers built into the base. plus they look sexy 😀

i still like my B&Ws though

they make high end home audio that looks better than it performs.
not that their stuff sounds bad, but you pay alot more for the looks than the sound, which can usually be found better in cheaper alternatives.

ooo thanks... my friends old B&O system was awesome. he imported it from Hong Kong, and its been 10 years, and I still thinks it f*cking awesome. The Tv moves left and right, and he also has the sound system with it. Man... 20000 for a system is just too much for me.
