Does anyone know a webpage that reasons for upgrading memory?

I have to do a speech on Monday and I need to have at least one source for my information... the sucky thing is, even though I know enough about why, I can't use myself as a source.

I did a quick search on google and all I got (non-surprisingly) was a bunch of sites selling RAM. So I checked the TechTV site, because I figured they would have something. Nothing, really. Crucial.com didn't really give any thorough reasons to upgrade... I need a page that tells with a bit of detail, not just "Upgrade cause it makes things faster! The end!"

Any help?

"Still not sure if you need more RAM?
Here's a simple test. If you hear your hard drive spinning while you edit large files or switch between applications, you're low on memory. Once your system runs out of RAM, it starts using something called virtual memory, or more simply put, it "borrows" space from the hard drive. Your computer writes all of the data that won't fit in its memory to the hard disk. To process that extra data, the computer needs to swap out your RAM's old data, then retrieve the new data from the hard drive. Avoid this painfully slow process by adding more RAM. "

You said you went to Crucial's site but maybe you missed this. It's all you need to know.
