Does anyone know a good FREE SMS site to send text message

Does anyone know a good FREE SMS site to send text message to any carrier? When i try these free ones that are suppose to work for any company it does not send the text message to my phone

If I send text messages to my phone from t mobiles web site it works fine. But I sometimes i dont know the carrier some is using etc.

Yahoo used to do it, but apparently not anymore. Apparently Yahoo Messenger does though: http://mobile.yahoo.com/websms-expire

the email method doesn't always work for me so i recently switched to gmail's chat to sms service. it also allows the receiver to just hit reply and you'll get ther reply n your chat window.

Always works for me with verizon and AT&T's service.

So just send it to all of the email suffixes. It may eventually get to the person.

Use Gmail's SMS feature.

Used to be able to go to some of the carriers websites and enter a message to a phone number and it would be sent free. Fast forward to know where the 3 dozen or so cell companies have managed to glob together into about half a dozen and that functionality doesn't exist outside of a new revenue stream for them.
