What's the problem? I'm using the same setup with no problems with Windows 2000.

So am I with both win2k and WinME.

use an ata-33 cable. if it works, it's a problem with the board and ata-100 compatability.

Mine wouldn't work in Windows 2000 until I flashed it so that the controller's ATA setting agreed with the drive's. Any other combo = no worky. I guess the ATA100's backwards compatibility isn't so backward compatible.
