Im talking about the people who:

- don't or rarely eat meat
- drinks some sort of vegetable/fruit juice combination for breakfast
- eat salad
- eat organic fruits, vegetables, nuts, herbs, ect.
- don't eat or rarely eat any type of fried/oily/refined sugar foods/drinks
- drinks some sort of natural protein drink (nutmilk)
- skin brushes
- doesn't eat canned/bleached food
- and most importantly doesnt do any sort of drug (yes, any drugs)

The list goes on and on.

PM or email me if you would like a few guides and books you can get if you are interested.

<< - don't or rarely eat meat >>

Nutrition is my business and I can tell you that people who don't eat meat are rarely "healthy". They may not get sick from the lack of meat in their diet, but they typically can't maintain much muscle mass. As you grow older it leads to progressive physical weakness. It is almost impossible to get an adequate intake of protein without meat in your diet.[

LoL total Bullsh!t, total Bullsh!t... u must be listening to american doctors too much. Yes i understand your point about it being a good source of protien but think about the side effects. Meat is bad for the blood. Just think about it... most people think that eating meat is fine because we have been doing so since the beginning of who knows when. Hmm then explain this - Why the hell are people getting so much cancers... dieases, organ transplants ect ect? Yes i know there are many other factors but meat is one of them. Pound for Pound Gorillas are stronger than humans yet they don't eat meat and have the same organs that we do.

The person who taught me everything i know about health is over 75 years old and he eats one serving of meat every month or so (parties and stuff) and he is much stronger than the average american person at age 50. Plus he has been stuying health for over 30 years; going to various schools and living with various people to learn their eating habits. Its just a shame that i cant prove it.

Im just trying to help the ingnorant of health.

I do all that you mention. I have never eaten meat in my life (I grew up in India) and I avidly practice Yoga. I have been sick only twice in my life (with a cold).

Bah, that's BS. I was a vegetarian for over a year, and i kept my muscle mass just fine (worked out regularly). I did lose a lot of fat, but as for losing or not being able to maintain muscle mass, that's BS.

As you grow older it leads to progressive physical weakness. It is almost impossible to get an adequate intake of protein without meat in your diet.

Everybody gets progressively weaker as they age, even those eating meat. Infact, i doubt you would be able to tell from pictures alone whether somebody was a vegetarian or meat eater (aside from the fact that vegetarians aren't obese). I know i was surprise to find out how many people were vegetarian when i was a vegetarian... and people were surprised about me as well.

EDIT: needed to bold

I KNOW that that isn't true. Most of the girls I've known gained much weight after going vegetarian. Probably drowning their salads in oil or something.

I'm pretty convinced that most americans that have eating restrictions have adopted them to make themselves more interesting. "Oh no, I only eat _free-range_ meat"

How much calories can salad oil really have?! Infact, 9/10 of the veggies i've met were girls, and they were far from obese. There's no way you're going to gain weight switching to a veggie diet, unless your previous diet was nothing but water... 99.99% of people that swtich to a vegetarian diet are consuming LESS calories, not more.... unless salad dressing has some unknown properties i'm not aware of that causes weight gain.

This is the biggest load of crap I have ever seen. I row at a high level in Canada, I am an athlete. Food is fuel. Yes you should stay away from processed foods and most of the chemicals associated with them, but do NOT stay away from meats and fats. They are essential to your development. A lack of protein or fat can stunt development. Without fats you can't absorb most vitamins. A common snack in elite sports is brown sugar, oatmeal and butter in equal parts mixed up and then put in the fridge. Carbs and fat, instant energy.

With regards to your cancer point, how the hell can meat cause cancer? Every carnivore on the planet eats meat and none of them get cancer. Cancer is because of smoking, increased radiation, chemicals in our food, less active lifestyle, etc.

I'm going to start another question, is anyone here seriosly healthy?

I'm talking about the people who:
-work out at least once a day
-compete at a National level or higher in a fitness sport
-eat food

I am.

What a stupid thread.

Bad for the blood??? What kind of crack are you smoking? And your 50 year old?.... Ill kick his ass. My diet is as follows:
Breakfast:
4 cups cheerios or oatmeal
16oz cups milk (protein content of 18 grams)
1 large banana

Lunch:
1 large PBJ sandwich
4 tbsp PB (protein content of 16 grams)
1 1/2 cups cottage cheese (protein content of 42 grams)
32 oz milk (protein content of 36 grams)

Dinner #1
Egg sandwich
6 whole eggs (protein content of 36 grams)
2 pcs cheese (protein content of 8 grams)
Large glass OJ
1 large banana

Dinner #2
1 lb chicken (protein content of 104 grams)
2 pcs cheese (protein content of 8 grams)
1 large glass V8

I consider my diet to be quite healthy. It is cholesterol heavy, but it is designed that way. Darn precursor for testosterone, who wants that?

Ah yes, they eat grasses and such. Pound for pound they have a lot more hair than we do too. Also must be the roughage content. That's why so many vegetarians are jacked and hairy. Your logic is spurious to the Nth degree. They are VERY different than we are. In fact, they are SO different that they constitute an entirely different species. Shocker huh? I don't know how to ask this nicely, so here goes: Please stop being ignorant.

Heh, nah. I can pretty much eyeball the right quantities now. And a pound of chicken really isn't as bad as you'd think. I could probably do 1 1/2 if I cooked that much. I really enjoy what I eat though. It is easy enough to prepare, and I like eating the foods that I do. So its really not a chore at all.

Look up on The Oxford Vegetarian Study, and you'll see they did a pretty comprehensive study on it. Something like 6000 participants over 12 years (and still going), and non-meat eaters had lower lvls of mortality, cancer rates, BMI, and pretty much any other benefits you can think of.

As for needing fat for your body to absorb vitamins... well, i'm pretty sure vitamins are absorbed whether there is fat or not, because other creatures seem to do it just fine, including primates. But even if it's less efficient, i'm sure it's made up by the greater volume of vitamins you're consuming.

I think you're the ignorant there buddy. Just because they're a different species doesn't mean their systems are different from ours. Infact, they're more common than dissimilar to us. Ever wonder why chimps are used in medical research?

<< Without fats you can't absorb most vitamins >>

And that's not really true. The only fat soluable vitamins are A D E and K. The others are water soluable. I am in no way however advocating the elimination of fat from your diet. It IS a very vital part. There are too many reasons to mention why here though, so I will only mention one, which happens to be my personal favorite. Dietary fat is a precursor for acetylcholine. Without this, you=stupid. I'll leave it in its simple form. If you really want to know why, pm me and Ill give you a chemical explanation.

As a former vegetarian, even if nutrition is your "business," I'm gonna have to take you up on that one. It is not impossible. It is not even close. I was a vegetarian for seven years and was a weight-lifter as well. I can vouch for the fact that it is not even remotely difficult to get enough protein; on the other hand, I do have to say that most vegetarians I knew/know are relatively ignorant in terms of nutrition, and many of them do not get enough protein. Ironic, eh? :)

If you know much of anything about nutrition, you can find ample sources of complete proteins, vegetarian or not. All in all, I am healthier from having been a vegetarian, as I now know and understand many of the benefits of a vegetarian diet, and incorporate it with eating meat occasionally now.

For those of you who wonder why I went back to eating meat: I went hiking for 3 months, over 2000 miles. It's rather hard to get dried tofu jerky, and even if I could, who would want to? :) I had to eat 4oz of beef jerkey daily to satisfy my portable protein requirements out in the hiking world. I just haven't had reason to go back since. :)

If you think that a low protein diet is "healthy", you are seriously misinformed. Nutrition has been my life for years. My body has been a nutrition research lab. I've don the tests on myself, not gorillas. If my protein intake falls below 300g/day, I lose substantial lean body mass. If I can keep it over 400g/day, I can really gain quality LBM fast.
