I literally just got this web cam delivered yesterday from Amazon.

I told my brother, mother in law and mom about this same camera, as a result they're all going to buy it so we can all video chat and my parents can see their grandbaby.

So my brother asked for the link again today, the day after I got this camera delivered and I noticed that the page now says
Stay Connected with Mom Instantly get the Logitech Quickcam Communicate STX free when bought together with the Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000 from Amazon.com. See details.

So I feel like I just missed out on a deal that I'd like to have had, of course I can return the camera I just got just to turn around and get it sent right back to me and get this free web cam in the process or I was hoping someone at Amazon would see that it seems kind of pointless to waste my and their time and money and to maybe just send out the free web cam instead, of course, no budge on their part, if it's not in their script they can't do it.

So now I have to ship this crap back and reorder the same exact thing.

Ugg, lack of common sense FTL.

What really frustrates me is I'm not trying to scam them or rip them off and I've spent sooooo much money with Amazon over the past decade yet no one in the whole customer support can see the logic and help out.

EDIT: Looks like Amazon email customer service is going to come through for me.

They instructed me to just order the web cam that's free now and send them the order number and they'll comp it and ship it free.

Now I'll wait and see if it happens. <crosses fingers>

Contact customer support. Tell them you should have gotten the deal or you would like to know if you can get in on it - 9 times out of 10 they will hook you up without problems.

Edit: I mean contact them again (I prefer via email). You probably got the 1 out of 10.

I did, I called them I spoke with customer service, a supervisor and a manager and they all can't see beyond their scripts.

Amazon customer service used to be awesome, I don't know wth happened.

Oh, I followed up with an email to customer service also.

Nothing from them yet though.

I'd probably just order the new deal, and ship one of the 9000 cams back to get refunded for the first order. Given how much volume they do, this type of thing must not be all that unusual. However if you can avoid that thru customer service, more power to you.
