8 EEEE.

No, I'm not kidding. New Balance and Rockports are all I've found that fit.

I hate Adidas shoes - they were always too narrow for my feet.

New Balances are perfect for wider feet.

Is it a big difference over standard?

I just want something a little more roomy, but dont want to be swimming.

I think they feel better, my feet aren't as smooshed, as they do with some Nike shoes

9.5 EEE. Adidas are pretty wide, as are Pumas.

Adidas are wide? :Q Not really

Try wearing Nikes. Those things are NARROW.

Yes they are. I don't even bother with Nike now, the sides will rip out in thirty days or less, usually. I used to wear British Knights a lot, as they tended to be wider.

I usually wear 12 EEEE or if I can find them, 11.5 EEEEEE (yes, that's 6 Es)

Usually 12 EEEE, they are a bit longer then needed, and a bit tight on width, but I'm pretty much used to them as that's what I've been wearing for about the last 10 years. (and they aren't impossible to find)

My shoes are mostly Rockports for Work, and New Balance for Not at work ...

My foot is actually about an inch longer than twice as long as it is wide!

Nike carries wide sizes in some of their models. I just got some Air Max Assail's in a 13 Wide. Technically, I don't have wide feet. I just have flat feet. So when I put weight on my feet, they spread out. I first tried some motion control shoes from Brooks and they felt really good, but I couldn't wear them for very long before the sides of my feet started hurting from being squished. Wearing the wide Nike's is much more comfortable with my flat feet.
