Does anyone here use those electronic insect repellers?

My girlfriend freaks out if she sees a spider no matter what size. My friend told me to get a couple of those electronic insect repellers that you plug into the wall. He swears by them, but I'm a little sceptical. Plus they go from anywhere between $5-$50. Does anyone here use them? Do they work?

Nope.... Used one for a while when I was working gates at night here in Ingleside, and it didn't work for sh!t. But it was good for annoying the hell out of people with the annoying little sound...

Were you guys using the cheapo ($5-$10) ones or more expensive ones ($20+)?

I was using a decent ($15) one. The mosquitoes are really bad out here. Smoking, and eating lots of garlic helped more than anything.

BTW-spiders are not insects. And, controls aimed at insects will not work on them.

Bug zappers actually attract more insects than they kill to an area.

Although, for mosquitoes, a Mosquito Magnet works great, but start out at $215.
