Does anyone here use any special icons, login screens, or desktop themes?

YOU FOUND A WEBSITE?!?

Every time somebody makes mention of customizing their desktop I provide that link.
Indeed!

Anyway, I have tried most of the stuff on there. Its finally getting to be pretty stable, but it still sucks up lots of resources that I'd rather devote to DVD ripping or file-sharing. (Linux ISO's of course.)
The last one I played with was StyleXP. Kept it for a while and decided I didnt care anymore. http://pics.bbzzdd.com/users/shortylickens/Capture.jpg

Nowadays I just go to that site for wallpapers and to snoop around.

Well, as I understand it, the way style XP works is by unlocking your uxtheme.dll.
Once thats done you dont even need the program anymore.

Or is there something I'm missing?

Every icon I have has been customized - have done this for over 10 years now. I just do it all manually.

I did for awhile, but in the end nothing gets as cool as OsX, so I just stay default in WinXP with different wallpapers time to time.

from what I know, WindowsBlinds "masks" your default windows visual style, while StyleXP changes it completely. Personally I preferred the second option, but currently I have a sweet winblinds skin, and i don't feel like looking for a good style xp skin.
