Does anyone here refuse to use Uber or Lyft and still use cabs?

I either drive or walk. Sometimes I drive to a train, and take it farther. I've never paid for taxi, and don't expect to pay for uber.

Why would you refuse to use Uber or Lyft in favor of a cab? If one is cheaper and far easier to hail, why on earth would I use the antiquated, prohibitively expensive option? There is no reason for cabs to require an upwards of $250,000 registration. There is no reason to not have a GPS app and a seamless hailing system. Sorry, you're in the stone age. Technology has spoken and taxis are nearing obsolete.

Now, I think Uber is a shitshow of a company and can't compete without using loopholes to circumvent laws relating to cabs. But, their model is superior.
