Does anyone here listen to Radiohead?

My girlfriend and I both *love* Radiohead...

but I must say that the new album Kid A has us both a bit confused.

What are they trying to prove?

OK Computer is their best (IMHO) but at the time, I didn't think anything could top The Bends.

Yeah, OK Computer is a fantastic album (arguably their best....but the Bends is right up there too). Kid A is different than all the other albums; it sounds pretty cool but it is really far out there. Not nearly as many guitar tracks as the other albums. Kid A was a really difficult album for Radiohead to produce because they did not know how to top off Ok Computer; in fact, Radiohead almost broke up because of it. Don't worry though, Radiohead is actually planning on releasing another album very soon, and it is supposed to sound like some of their more traditional pieces.

ok computer is definitely the best radiohead album, and arguably one of the best albums of all time, definitely recent time.

kid a is very weird, but very original in its own right, just not something u can put on and get into very quickly

Yeah, it was a regular Radiohead performance The reason that it looked "freaky" is that Thom uses his head as a metronome where as most people tap their foot

I saw them on SNL last weekend. WTF was that? I've never really heard their music before but that had to be one of the worst, strangest live performances I've ever seen. I think the entire band was on Heroin. Is all their music like that? Wow...had me confused for quite some time. :Q

Radiohead is a fantastic band. I haven't listened to Kid A enough times to pass judgment, but I don't think it will top OK Computer in my book.

I love Radiohead! Been a fan since Creep. I saw them on the Ok Computer tour and was totally blown away!

Kid A is different but I like it. Idioteque is one of the best songs.

konichiwa, I know what you mean. If you didn't liten to radiohead before Kid A, I don't think you are going to like them. Listen to some of their older stuff, it is much more non-fan friendly.

I love Radiohead! Kid A is a great album. It really grows on you if you give it time. I taped the SNL appearance, and it blew me away. One of the top SNL musical appearances ever (at least in the past several years). I saw them on their OKC tour, and I have to say it was the best concert I've ever seen. They're the best thing to happen to music in a long, long time.

After their SNL performance, I went and bought Kid A.

kinda like stoner's music. Idiotesque and The National Anthem are my favorite.

I love Radiohead they are my favorite band. all their albums are amazing. and the ep's are real good too. favorite song is let down off ok computer. Performance on SNL was awesome, i like how they played two weird songs instead of selling out. They act however they want and dont try to please anyone. Someone said they look like they were on drugs but i am pretty sure radiohead does not use drugs like most rock stars. They just get into their music. Whats weird is i dance similar to thom when i am alone in my room listening to the national anthem (song they played on snl) it just make u want to freak out

To show how great they are their albums are one of the best ever made, I think that some record with the beatles are nr.1 and then ok computer nr.2. Top notch band

Kid A is starting to grow on me...I listened to OK Computer too many times to count.

they're awesome, probably my favorite band.

Iron Lung: Kinda ok, too few and too short songs, and a bit messy, but ok
Pablo Honey: Good batch of songs, but a little too unorganized maybe. Good anyway
The Bends: Excellent with lots of wonderful songs that use music in an awesome way to create the coolest sounds
OK Computer: WOOHOO doesn't get better.....all songs are totally awesome with such cool sounds, effects, etc.
Kid A: Lay off the crack guys.....

Any band that can turn a patch bay into an instrument on SNL is cool. If there's a better band alive than Radiohead, please point them out. I sure haven't seen any.
