The only guys I know that get their lip pierced are the guys who are trying to be "different" and "original" along with all 1,000,000 teenagers their age and with their interests.

I used to have mine done (not for some silly want to look different reason though, I was real drunk and me and a friend wanted to know why people get it done so I jamed an ear piercing stud through my lip) and aslong as you change it real quick as in immediately you can do it after 2 or 3 weeks.

It is about 4 months I think till it is completely healed I took mine out after about 4-5 months and it took 3-4 days to close up again
 
Don't listen to these tits.

Get what you want done, but do it because you like it, not because you want to conform, regardless of how popular it is.

Personally, I don't like piercings, but do what you want.
