Does Anyone Here Have The Corsair 2500 Gaming Speakers?

They seem over priced, the cheapest I found is 230$ right now. The cheapest Logitech is 109$ right now. Still, maybe the price is justified, it does have more wattage and it has an electronic remote control. I have Logitech Z506 and they are almost destroyed, I only use 2 of the speakers right now, I got them around April-May 2012. I do remember seeing a review saying that these speakers were tested and they never blow up, even on maximum volume constantly for days they would be fine.

The major problem I have with these speakers is no bass control, or is it a lie?

This site says there is not bass control. I do remember reading a review saying it has bass control. So does this set have this feature? Also, is it an effective feature? I don't like it when the bass is overly loud and thumping to much.

Most good gamers that I know of use headphones!!

I personally use headphones (5.1) for gaming and an old Creative 5.1 setup for music. It's not audiophile quality, but that's just how it is.

To be honest, however, if I could use a good surround system for gaming, with properly positioned columns, I would do it in a heartbeat. Those 2.1 don't look anywhere worth the money for me. With that kind of money I could buy two celestion 12' speakers and maybe even a nice amp that would blow those puny speakers into the middle of last week.

For $200+ you should get a Lepai amp ($30ish) and a pair of decent, real bookshelves that fit in the rest of your budget. PC speakers and gaming/surround headsets are universally trash.

They have bass control, and it works. The bass at very low volumes doesn't thump or make neighbors mad. Hell, it doesn't even wake my gf up, while still being pleasing enough. The bass at higher volumes...rattles every window in my house.

These speakers can put out a fucking pounding, too.

Beyond all that. they are good speakers. I got mine for $190 USD. I needed to use the software EQ to iron out the harsh treble that so many find fault with.

They aren't perfect speakers, but they do everything well enough to a non audiophile. I listen to music, not speakers 🙂
