Does anyone here have a Zune?

I am going to be getting a used one in the next week or so from a deal I made on tradegamesnow.com and was curious about them and if users were pleased with them. And I don't need to hear about Ipod's or any other players, I just got rid of an 80gig Video and it was nice, but this isn't a comparison thread.

I'm curious as to how the sound quality is.

I had a 60G 5G ipod but it's currently under about 16,000 feet of water in the Puerto Rico trench. :Q

The 80G replacement does not sound as smooth and has more noise. It sounds like they increased the gain of the amp (to get more volume) at the expense of adding noise and smearing detail. :|

Yeah, I have one and the sound quality is fine. I can't tell a difference between my 5.5g ipod and the Zune.

Hehe I have a plan for that 80GB HDD though. It involves a video camera and that's all I'm saying.

Can it play back 24/96 uncompressed PCM?

If that works I'm sold. I don't care if the thing looked like a turd - the color is close eh?

Get Creative. Reputedly the best for sound.

The Ipod Nanos also get raves for sound quality.

There was a coparo on this in one of the computer mags recently.

I just registered at a Zune site and they have a guide on putting a 80 gig drive, and even mention the new Toshiba 120 gig drive coming out.
