Does anyone here get to wear slippers to work?

Working from home used to be cool but when you have little children involved such as myself, it is much easier for me to be at my office as opposed to working from home. If I absolutely had to work from home, I would but if given the choice, I rather go to work so I could get my work done much faster.

once, i almost wore my house slippers to work. shoes are the last thing i put on, and i left home with a strange feeling...looked down and realized i had forgotten to put on actual shoes. then realized i had left my keys on the kitchen table, read: locked myself out...and had to call someone to let me inside. 😛
I used to work in an office once with an 'odd' guy who was usually a bit quiet and would work between 7:00 A.M. and 8:00 P.M. at night. He lived like 50 - 60 miles from where we worked. I would often see him sporting some slippers around the office (with dress pants, shirt & tie) from time-to-time. This happened in one of the "remote" building we were working in - away from the main facility.
Back at the main facility, the dress code was "business casual" where I used to work. On Friday's people would dress down a little more. Often, we would see memos suggesting that we not abuse the dress-down policies on Fridays. One person that I knew, was counseled for wearing Microsoft-type T-Shirts. They didn't like seeing shirts without collars. Also, women were wearing a lot of black stretch pants - and the executives didn't like that either.

When I go to clients to fix their stuff I try to remember to have clothes on. When I have to meet with clients to discuss contracts/bills etc. I have to dress "business", which for me is something reasonably clean. When I have to meet with money people (banks etc) I have to dig the suit out of mothballs. At home (work a lot there) or in the shop I wear whatever I have on - never think about it.
I once went to a new client right after a bank meeting, wearing a suit, and they were really suspicious - they didn't think I was "techie" enough to work for them. Kicked off my shoes, left the jacket on the boss's desk, used my tie to rig the cage door open, and wrote a few phone numbers on my shirt, a little more my speed. They're still a client. Law firm.
