If you do, where are the best places/forums to go for ideas, help, suggestions, and resellers with best mod parts prices?

What I'd like is some place/one to bounce a few ideas off of........for a mod I'm trying....and my first case themed thing, actually. (Starting at a ripe old age of 52 to begin ricing out a computer is insane, I know, but what the heck!)

I've started with two Cooler Master Mystique 631 cases. The case that'll be used is black w/side window. The other case, a silver, will be a donor for the front door and maybe bezel....haven't decided on the bezel, though.

I'm going for a black and chrome look.....with a few touches of red here and there. The power supply is black....Corsair HX620, so it has red lettered label. The motherboard is black pcb.....Intel BX2. The video card presently is an ATI X1950 Pro....BBATI so has red pcb. The RAM is red encased Buffalo Firestix.

The video card has a Zalman VC-ZV9 cooler.....the Fatality version of the VF900 but it's nickel plated and has a red LED fan with red ram sinks. Hey, got it cheap and it looks cool with the red card.

The cpu has a Corsair Nautilus 500 water cooled unit hooked up to it....works great and is very quiet. Currently has blue Pentosyn/distilled water mix running for coolant. Pale blue look, but at least it's not UV UFO green!

I've polished almost every square inch of aluminum in the interior of the case that's able to be polished. I used Mother's Billet Polish....ran out of Simichrome....dammit!!! Best damned metal polish out there. But the Mother's worked pretty well, too. But the motherboard tray, the front and rear panels, where the front and rear fans attach, etc., wouldn't polish at all. Like they're treated with anodizing or something.

So rather than screw something up terribly by trying to sand then polish and then finding out it wouldn't work anyway, I covered the motherboard tray with engine turned vinyl.......so when the motherboard is installed, all you see around it is what appears to be engine turned aluminum.

My intention is to put black and white Nexus fans in front, side and rear......keeping with the theme. Keep the Zalman cooler.....little red there won't hurt. But I also intend to put some sort of LED strip under the motherboard, strung along the edge, just out of view, but right along the motherboard mounts. These will be attached to a rheobus so I can turn the LED strips off and on as wanted and can vary their intensity from very dim to bright.

Figure it should work. They're LEDs, not CCFLs, so varying elect. to them shouldn't burn up anything. But the color choice is bugging me.........red, white, blue......cannot decide.

I may put some other lighting in like some LED meteor strips......again, attached to the rheobus so they can be turned on and varied in intensity......again color bothers me. I'm thinking white, but maybe red would look good.....or blue.

As for the silver door being donated, I intend to sand off the anodizing and polish it to mirror-like finish on front......then clear coat to prevent finger prints. I'm probably going to paint the front and rear panels, the inside of them at least, a metallic black, as well as the floor of the case (it's already black, just flat black.)

So, will it work? Sound sound?
