Does anyone have Wireless Hacks by O'Reilly? Got questions about NoCatAuth...

When he is talking about the NoCatAuth (starting on page 229, website at NoCat) does that need either a the modified AirPort (Linux OS Firmware) or the custom built AP? Or can it use a plain run of the mill Netgear or Linksys router?

Thanks for the link! I couldn't find all of the information but now I think I that I need something that will boot or at least work from the network. Perhaps that's why they tote the AirPort Linux or Linsys WET11 Wireless Bridge so highly.
