Does anyone have Vista Home Basic with IIS installed on it

does vista home even have IIS? IIS and remote desktop are the two reason why I'm thinking of going for business instead of home premium

Microsoft have released information about IIS support. All editions will support IIS installation, but the functionality is reduced to what version you have.

Having seen and replied to your posts in various forums here I now see your problem. The IIS management console is not available on Vista Home Basic, so try as we did to point you in the right direction you will not see it as those who have Premium, Business or Ultimate editions.
