What do you think of the case? Is it heavy? How's the ventilation? Thanks in advance.

Is this the same as the A500? .. if so what it is is one of the best built cases on the planet with a slide out tray and rolled edges and is made of of heavy grade steel.

It was designed in the Klamath days with a PSU with fully vented underneath so that heat from the vertically mounted Slot-1 CPU was sucked out so NO exhaust fan - I do NOT recommend this case for use with an Athlon or Duron as you will have two fans pulling in opposite directions, also the HS/Fan being half under the PSU means that you`re restricted for space , it gets by with a CuMine or Tualatin system because they run cool in anycase..

Real shame, I had to buy a new case as I had terrible temps despite all sorts of makeshift exhaust fan bodges to try and get a good airflow..

As I said that was the A500 which was still available up to 3 months ago at least, if InWin have made an Athlon friendly case of the same build (V500?) it will be both expensive and of blisteringly high quality..

What Witchfinder said.

A500 had stunning quality and features - including dimpled mobo tray that required no stand-offs to mount mobo.

But piss-poor case ventilation.

The Inwin V500 is not the same as an Inwin A500. The inwin V500 is a micro-atx case, whereas the A500 is a mid-tower case. If you look at the internal mechanical drawing it gives it away that the two cases are distinctly different.

Inwin V500

I have the A660 and it is essentially the same as the A500 with a different front cover. I can vouch for the poor ventilation and the tight fit and pretty much that's why the S500 replaced the A500.

The Inwin V500 has been up-graded for the P-4 with the addition of a rear 80mm fan mount and a 180W mATX psu, ...... so the cooling ability has incresed considerably!
This case is very sturdy and well made ............. a 300w ATX psu will also fit inside and all case panels (R-side, L-side, and Top) are readily removable, ........ allowing better access to internal components ....... !

It is a tad heavy (for it's size) ..... but not too much ..... and is constructed of 1.0 mm steel (same as used for the A500/S500's)!

Another V500 link!
