Does anyone have Frontlines: Fuel of War running smoothly on Windows 7?

I just picked up this game from Direct2Drive's sale:

I have a PC running:

Core2Duo @ 3.5ghz
4 gig DDR1000 ram
HD 4870 1GB
500GB HDD defragmented every week (consistently under 4% fragmentation)
ATI CAT 9.7
Windows 7 RC 7100

I have the graphics settings maxed out (1280x1024, Very High Quality on slider) and I'm running between the mid-high teens and low 20s on average. Max quality Crysis's minimum FPS are about equal to this game's average FPS.

I then tried 1280x1024 and low quality and got the same FPS numbers. The Game will run ~20fps then dip down and stutter for a second down to single digit fps (6-8) then go back to ~20fps. I have nothing running in the background except AV, i turned off steam, xfire, firefox, etc, tried XP SP3 compatibility mode and nothing is working.

Does anyone have similar issues?

edit:

I just turned off my AV and set the graphical settings to lowest. Still unplayably choppy. I am playing the SP campaign BTW to learn the ropes before I go online.

FLFOW was displaying some bad laggy behavior. And I myself have Windows 7 and an Intel dual core. Il keep it short sweet and too the point. Clicking Compatibility mode and setting it too believe it or not the same operating system you are using I.E. Windows 7 reduces the lag by a little bit. To rid your experience of lag entirely in that game I turned a Random Access Memory Optimizer program. Make sure it is the one bundled with Advanced System Optimizer. As long as thats running you shouldnt get any lag.

I could never get it to start. just said I needed to put the right disk in (which it was). I ended up giving it to a friend and I don't know if he has played it. Lots of people had my problem but they never releases a fix...
