Does anyone have experience with Western Digital RMA's?

Does anyone with WD RMA experience know if you need the original reciept to complete the RMA process?

Thanks in advance for any info.

I needed nothing a couple months ago. I wasn't even the original owner of the drive. I bought it from a guy here on the boards, it died 1 week later. I sent it in and a new one arrived in less then 2 weeks...

just wondering, what happened to the drive so that you are going to RMA it?

Nothing has gone wrong with the drive. I'm in the process of selling it, with 2+ years of warranty left, and the buyer is concerned about the RMA process if it were to die on him.

RMA = returned merchandise authorization.
