I have the unfortunate position as owner of a TNT2 m64 WHat can be done to this card to make it a better performer especailly in 3d apps like auto cad, I have the latest detenator drivers is there anything else I can do to make this card perform better? It will be in an 850 tbird so it is the only bottle neck how can I speed this pup up

come on people you know you once had a tnt2 m64 don't act like you don't know what I am talkin about, sure it is older but can't I make it bolder! probably I should be gatting it for real

You wont get a decent performance out of that card it's probably already the bottleneck. You can o/c it and make it a bit faster though.

how so, I have overclocked cpu's but I a still new to the world of video card overclocking, also can/should I update the BIOS on the card, DO these card even have flashable BIOS, I have no idea how to access these features, I just downloaded powerstip last night for the first time how could I use it to boost performance? I am just trying to make a suck piece of a gear better, the rest of the system is pretty lean and mean 850 tbird and 256 mb micron pc133 new soyo board kt133 via

Hey there, fellow M64 owner! Yeah I feel your pain, but it's not that bad once you take care of a couple of things. First off...the newest Detonator drivers by Nvidia are not the optimal ones for your TNT2 M64. I've tried out most of the official driver releases and nothing has proven better than the 5.22 drivers. Next, grab the Detonator 5.xx registry tweaks from the Web (or PM me) and enter those into your registry. Reboot, and at that point follow the below guide to the optimal settings for your video card.

My own TNT2 M64 is overclocked to 120/125 Mhz from 100/110 Mhz. Make sure to click "Apply these settings at startup" so your card gets set to the higher speeds every time you load Windows. Good luck!

Oh man.... you can get a Geforce 1 SDR for so cheap right now!!! $100 Canadian is like $60US. Performance/dollar that's a SUPER deal! The Radeon LE at $80 is super as well!
At least a decent upgrade won't have to break the bank!
