Does anyone have any recommendations on cases bought from CompGeeks?

Was wondering if anybody had bought the Genica 250W ATX case from CompGeeks.com? If so, any comments/complaints/praises would be greatly appreciated.

I have an old PII 450 cpu sitting around and was going to put together a cheap computer for a computer-less friend and so I'm not looking for all the bells & whistles, pretty much just the cheapest decent case I can find. A few other places had cheap brand name cases but the shipping was almost 2x what CompGeeks charges.

The chassis looks like one I put together for a friends company. About the only thing I did not like was the PS directly over the CPU. From looking at it, if you are going to use it to make a second machine or a computer for a computerless friend it will probably do fine. I would think differently if you were going to build an overclocked fire breathing machine.

Hope this helps some

I have 2 cases from CG. If the PS is still mounted the same (vertical rather than the more usual horizontal), the case worked fine for a couple of Super7/k6-400 board, but the cooling worried me. I suggest you call around to the local mom and pop computer shops. They may have a no-name generic case for less than you'd pay to CG (counting shipping).

Yeah I got one of the Genica cases from CG.
You get what you pay for. Pretty cheap case.
PSU is mounted verticle, no rear mount for cooling fan,
a place for a front fan but the screwed on front cover
blocks air flow.
Like the other posts say its ok for a low level machine,

Hope this helps.....
