Does anyone have any Hard Proof That Abit has the highest RMA rate and the RMA rate of other mobos so i can see.

Hey i seen numbers of how many boards they sold of each brand mobo asus was the most and abit like in the middle.
But still i like my abit but since abit is the most RMA i guess it hasnt been for me yet hehe. Which makes me happy. Not sure what my next mobo will be. I wonder if you could build your own mobo. Thats a dum question lol.

I just can't fathom what companies to to get 20% RMA rates?

I used to work for a decently sized OEM, out RMA rate for Asus mobos(we used them exclusively since we got good prices, low RMA rates, and good RMA policies).

And I know people who work for a pretty large retailer, the deal used to be pretty much the same there(long time since I checked).

They ended up selling Asus and MSI mobos, since those were the best in terms of RMA rates and policies, while Abit had too high RMA rates, though nothing along the lines of 20%.
20% is just way too high to be normal, unless mobo quality in general has dropped ALOT lately.

what about Iwill KK266 though? It is not in AMD's recommended list. And Abit Kt7 is.

I wish you see the AMD list before making such statement.

I got 2 Abit KT7's in a row that were bad - dying IDE controllers, which corrupted lots of my data. They were from 2 different vendors yet! I returned one to the vendor, and the other one to Abit. Both of the new ones worked well.

I have not personally gotten another Abit board, but I did try my friend's fate with an Abit KT7...it's fine, I felt really bad installing it for him though, but it did work. It's been fine since last november.

The one that I got back was fine though.
